In 1996, in a small office in Ghent, Belgium, Larian Studios was born. Since then, our passion to create a world class video games has driven the Divinity series – six games that straddle multiple genres and defy expectations. Our first crowdfunded success, Divinity: Original Sin, won over 150 awards and nominations, and the recently-released sequel Divinity: Original Sin 2 launched with a 93 Metacritic rating, as well as over 160 awards (Including the Bafta for Best Multiplayer Game) and counting!

Thanks to the success of these two games, our family has grown to over 400 people around the world, working in our Ghent, Quebec, Dublin, Kuala Lumpur, Guildford and Barcelona studios. Our next game, Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently in Early Access.

As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Gameplay Programmer (Internship) to join the team and help us craft the high-caliber games our fans have come to expect.

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that this is an internship position. There are additional legal requirements, such as having graduated (at most) within the last three years or currently being enrolled in studies.

Requisitos mínimos:

Technical skills:

Solid knowledge of C++
Have a solid understanding of basic C++ concepts (such as types, OOP, Memory management etc.)
Be able to write robust code without infinite loops and memory leaks

Portfolio of personal project(s) developed in C++ including source code not older than 2 years candidates without coding example will not be considered projects done during the coursework at university will not count as we would like to see what do you like to work on and your level of coding

Personality:

Open minded, willing to experiment and iterate over a specific feature
Good communication skills (in English)
Passion for making and playing great games

Responsabilidades:

You will be working with our developers on real gameplay systems so your programming skills are very important to us.
We want you to be an active participant in the production of the game; the technical side of the creative team!

Most of the time you will be:
Working on all aspects of gameplay systems of the RPG: code architecture and development and support.
Cooperate closely with the other departments to implement the needed game components.
Working together with the UI designers on the in-game UIs.
Writing robust and maintainable code.
